The starting point is to be able to easily import what currently exists to form the basis of the Canonical Model. Some organizations have already built their own complete model, some base the model on industry standards (e.g. OAG, ACORD), some want to build the Model from existing XSDs and WSDLs, and others prefer to purchase a model (e.g. Oracle's AIA Foundation Pack).
