Release Workflow

IgniteXML provides a structured workflow for the production of schema releases enabling organizations to effectively manage and control their schema development process. Multiple developers can now work together to produce a build, with the administrator approving change candidates submitted by developers, resolving conflict, creating a new release and deploying that release into the runtime environment.

The process flow that igniteXML creates for producing a release works as follows.

• Developers import, create, edit or check out objects in personal workspaces
• Developers check in their changes in the form of named tasks
• Administrators integrate developers' tasks in a new build
• The Administrator creates a named release from a specific build
• The release is deployed and schemas, transformations, and documentation are created from the model
